RAYE

I think the worst thing I can do as I try describing this album is to compare it to something else, considering Raye herself answered people on her resemblance to Amy Winehouse or the claims of her being the new Amy. What I see in this album is that a Raye that solidified her style and I find that beautiful considering I don’t like her former music and I am more than glad she embraced the jazzy, big band persona the last years.

WARHAUS

Jim Morrison’s freak, David Bowie’s bizarre and Leonard Cohen’s fashion. I honestly have no idea how people reacted to this album, since I was a little late to catch the hype train, but this intrigues me in every possible way. The sultry vocals, the brain-scratching bass lines and the instrumentality of the work that has been done here! Apart from musicality, I think the lyrics are stronger than ever. Especially, the songs I cannot get out of my head are Hands of a Clock and The Winning Numbers. The latter mainly lingers on temptation, which is the sensation this album gives me overall.

Olivia Dean

Dean describes love as something to be shared, and if it is shared, it never is in vain. From a little girl singing in the kitchen with her dad, she climbed the stairs of fame by her exquisite talent in songwriting and musicality. Olivia Dean, I think, leaves an important mark in the new-era of music by combining old-school elements with the freshness of her creation and voice.

Saint Levant

This month’s pick isn’t about inspiration. It’s about presence.

A courageous soul from a multi-ethnic background, proud of his Palestinian roots, from a family of artists; and advocating for causes and struggles through his music: Saint Levant.

THE FAVORS: FINNEAS x ASHE

I have been a regular Finneas listener for a while now and I can say - adoring his previous duets with Ashe - The Favors is one of the best things that happened to music in 2025. The Dreams take the bedroom-pop aesthetic, brings it back to the 70s, adds a flare of the classic “American Dream” and serves it to us on a silver platter. Also being a huge 70s enthusiast the vibe it brings to the table is flawless and I can imagine myself moving to the whole of the album - even the slower songs. Gorgeous people, talented friends; making music together, who wouldn’t love that?
